About The Position

Job Summary: Manages Box plant at Marion CI. Manufacturer corrugated boxes. Train and supervise Inmate Workers to product various sizes of boxes. Requires strong supervisory skills for directing and training inmates working and assessing their skills. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned. Lead business & new product development projects authorized through the company’s business development approval process. Manage plant operations in compliance with company policies and directives as well as FDC rules and regulations. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with Warden and Staff. Ensure sales and services result in profitable revenue contribution through raw material cost and expense management and product and services price controls. Develop and manage a cohesive, capable team to lead inmate workers in the manufacture of high-quality janitorial products. Ensure safe working conditions and practices are maintained in compliance with regulatory and administrative codes. Administer the industry’s Quality Management System. Plan and coordinate production to meet customer demand in an efficient, effective, and timely manner. Ensure regulatory compliance (FDOT/EPA/DHS and certifying organizations). Continuously identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with company kaizen leaders on implementation. Develop and manage the annual sales and capital budget. Oversee Interface with all PRI staff & departments, customers, vendors.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three (3) years of experience in manufacturing plant.
  • Prefer one-year supervisory experience.
  • Good verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Reading comprehension.
  • Proficient in operating machines.
  • Ability to assemble Boxes.
  • Self-starter.
  • Understand quality control awareness and management.
  • Safety management and ability to foster teamwork.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Manage stress and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer one-year supervisory experience.
