About The Position

As a Production Material Handler at BD, you will play a crucial role in supporting production execution activities by managing the transportation, coordination, and inventory of materials and components. This position involves daily computer transactions and requires adherence to safety and quality standards while maintaining an organized work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 months Warehouse Experience required.
• Computer Literacy required.
• Proficiency with SAP and Apriso desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook preferred.
• Willing and able to train and certify on a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand truck or forklift to provide materials to the production area.
• Perform forklift safety checks and complete daily safety checklist.
• Complete Kanban Milk Runs to keep production lines operating with necessary materials.
• Maintain production order integrity for all materials using SAP and Apriso.
• Remove empty containers and manage trash disposal.
• Requisition materials from the warehouse as needed using SAP and/or Apriso.
• Check materials delivered for accuracy and condition before acceptance.
• Store incoming materials neatly according to the storage plan.
• Perform confirmations for finished goods and manage pallet movements.
• Prepare pallets for transport and verify quantities for reworked products.
• Support other operations within the department as needed.
• Perform cycle counts and physical inventories using computer programs.
• Make bar code labels using the Zebra Printer System.
• Fill out component lot sheets and manage batch information.
