About The Position

The position involves coordinating material distribution for all shifts within the Molding Department. The individual will utilize the production schedule to plan and stage material, interact with the Warehouse to ensure accurate inventory management, and maintain lot control of raw materials on the production floor. A strong understanding of material handling equipment is essential, as well as the ability to perform material audits and promote safety while operating forklifts. The role requires collaboration with various team members to meet production demands and may involve working outside of normal hours when necessary.

Requirements

• HS diploma or GED required
• 5-10 years in plastic injection molding
• Ability to communicate with internal customers
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to move materials, including lifting, bending, and reaching overhead
• Ability to use equipment such as forklift, motorized pallet jack, and hand tools

Responsibilities

• Utilize the production schedule to plan and stage material for all shifts within the Molding Department
• Interact with Warehouse to coordinate material movements and maintain inventory accuracy
• Maintain lot control of raw materials on the production floor
• Troubleshoot material handling equipment such as dryers, loaders, and concentrate feeders
• Perform material audits on the production floor
• Operate forklift and promote safety
• Collaborate with material handlers, set-up technicians, process technicians, and scheduling to meet production demands
• Work outside normal working hours, overtime, or alternate shifts as required.
