Our Raytheon’s Multi-spectral Targeting System (MTS) product line is seeking an Assembler specializing in manufacturing to support our team 100% onsite in McKinney, Texas. This position is for 1st shift. What You Will Do Assemble, disassemble, re-assemble, fabricate, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Set up and operate a variety of machines and hand instruments. May route, dispatch and expedite flow of material. Check for work correctness. Specific duties will include material preparation and the assembly and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies. Perform wire/cable preparation, installation, crimping, and torquing using hand instruments. Perform all work in accordance with written work instructions to prescribed standards. Work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals. Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established, demonstrated process. Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications. Develop more than one job at a time and have the flexibility to work across shifts.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in product assemblies and/or manufacturing.
  • Experience with manufacturing manuals, schematics, and/or engineering drawings.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent hand/finger dexterity and extreme attention to detail
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Experience with the use of common hand instruments (screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, torque tools and analyzers, etc.
  • Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation databases and tools
  • Related experience working in a Manufacturing, Assembly, Aviation or Naval Environment with hands on technical experience in repair, installation, and inspection.
