About The Position
The position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the production department. This includes prioritizing and preparing production schedules, communicating production goals to the appropriate departments, and analyzing equipment efficiency, materials supply, and manpower requirements. The role also involves maintaining quality control of the product and managing, training, and supervising department supervisors, shift leads, and production personnel. In terms of communication and teamwork, the individual will be responsible for the collection, verification, and reporting of daily, weekly, and monthly production data. They will handle production and indirect personnel scheduling as directed by the Plant Manager, track and report vacation and attendance with the Operations Coordinator, and acquire and report daily, weekly, and monthly environmental data related to water and air quality. Additionally, the role requires creating, maintaining, and accurately conveying production and inventory reports to management and the sales department. The individual will oversee corrective action policies and procedures, employee performance evaluations, and training schedules as needed, and will also be involved in recruiting and evaluating potential employees. The position includes responsibilities for inspections, safety, and maintenance, such as maintaining plant-wide parts, equipment, and expendables inventory tracking, ensuring appropriate levels are maintained for efficient operation, and overseeing the implementation of all quality control SOP policies and procedures, including the PFI Standards Program. The individual will be responsible for the safe operation of the facility while coordinating the Lignetics Safety Program at the plant level, including all reporting requirements for Lignetics and as required by OSHA or state and federal regulations.
