Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, manufacturing, engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment with progressive management, preferably in a process-oriented related industry.
• 3+ years leading a production team (preferred).
• Experience leading change and improvement of systems and management standards, using Lean Transformation principles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of modern manufacturing concepts and practices.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel as needed to perform the basic duties associated with this position (travel is minimal).
• Thorough understanding of budgeting and expense management.
• Strong analytical, statistical, and reasoning ability for problem solving, strategic planning, creativity/innovation, and judgment for complex decisions.
• Interpersonal and supervisory skills, such as emotional competency, coaching, providing feedback, evaluating performance of subordinates, and motivating employees.
• Highly motivated, self-starter capable of working and delivering results on your own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily operation of the production department with responsibility for the safe and on-time delivery of quality products.
• Develop a high-performance team capable of fueling the growth expected in a manner that fits within both Graham White and Wabtec corporate objectives.
• Supervise staff, including hiring, employee communications, training, discipline, evaluation, and termination responsibilities.
• Provide a safe working environment for all employees.
• Lead the Production team to live the values of our safety culture and work toward continuous improvement goals.
• Ensure that production objectives are met while minimizing waste and implementing cost reduction strategies.
• Drive accountability through the Production team and uphold standards to ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are consistently met.
• Work with leaders and team members across departments to ensure optimized production strategies.
