This position is responsible for the management and operation of all aspects of the Lottery’s warehouse and order fulfillment processes, as well as other non-warehouse related responsibilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Inventory control of all Lottery products, retailer supplies and point of sale material. Accurate and timely packaging and shipping of all instant ticket products via the information received from the Tel Sel Department. Management of the inventory and security of all returned tickets as a result of a game ending. Once processed through production, the status of the ticket books are changed in the system to reflect the game is no longer valid for sale. Ensuring all orders for an accelerated delivery of a new game are prepared in advance to allow for the delivery of the new game in a two-day period, rather than through the normal two-week period. Control and Management of the inventory shipped to and stored at the RI Emergency Management Agency warehouse located in Johnston. Implementation of the record retention policy to ensure records stored in the warehouse are purged on an annual basis in accordance with the retention policy. Management of the maintenance and record keeping for the fleet of Sales vans and Lottery vehicles. Responsible for the replacement of certain keys related to the VLT’s. Motivation of staff and creation of a positive and professional work culture. Training new staff members. Constant improvement of the policies and procedures for the functions this position has responsibility over. Additional responsibilities may be assigned from time to time. This position requires daily lifting of boxes greater than 40 pounds. This position is on-site.
