About The Position

Plans, organizes, leads and controls an area of operation within designated manufacturing facility. Responsible to focus on the manufacturing operation performance measures to achieve operational goals (Safety, Quality, Schedule Attainment, Delivery, Productivity, Budget, and Training Matrix). WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING : Manages assigned manufacturing plant’s equipment and associate capacity planning in order to determine and execute production plan schedule. In addition, manages the evaluation of ideal plant layout in order to enhance safety and efficiency. Evaluates the hiring, performance management, training, and staffing of assigned manufacturing plant positions. In addition, deploys new and updated work guidelines and instructions. Manages the maintenance of the manufacturing plant’s skills matrix, planning of needed skills requirements, and the deployment of the training rotation schedule. Ensures accuracy of records and compliance with procedures. Ensures the execution of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures within assigned area. Monitors Key Performance Indicators, Payroll Budget, Inventory Control and Safety statistics and collaborates with Plant Manager and appropriate department to implement corrective actions. Participates in the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) program and partners with other department leaders in developing recommended actions. Supports the Product Launch and Manufacturing Support departments in the deployment of new items, technologies or processes. Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and urgency while managing multiple priorities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 3 years progressive manufacturing, management or relevant technical experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Intermediate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience demonstrating leadership and communication skills.
