About The Position

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete manufacturing and logistics processes, including production, injection molding, assembly, warehousing, and distribution. This position ensures cost-effective production, timely delivery, quality control, inventory accuracy, and adherence to safety standards across all departments under manufacturing operations. This position will also require strong people management skills, coaching supervisors and helping them grow as managers. The role requires flexibility in labor planning and allocation between indirect labor (IL) and direct labor (DL) to meet operational needs and labor targets. Additionally, the Production Manager works with planning teams to forecast daily labor requirements and ensures effective distribution of materials to both on-site and offsite warehouses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Logistics, Operations Management or related field preferred; or 10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing and distribution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing production and warehouse teams.
  • SAP knowledge required.
  • Experience managing multiple teams.
  • Prior experience with injection molding operations.
  • Experience with WIS systems and standardized work procedures.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical reasoning.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of associates and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily operations across production and warehouse functions.
  • Coordinate material distribution to offsite warehouses in addition to on-site needs.
  • Collaborate with the planning department on daily labor forecasting to ensure staffing aligns with production schedules and operation requirements.
  • Ensure production and distribution KPIs are met or exceeded, including efficiency, quality, and safety targets.
  • Manage all aspects of shipping and receiving, for Building 2 / Warehouse 2.
  • Flex labor resources between Indirect Labor (IL) and Direct Labor (DL) to achieve labor efficiency targets.
  • Ensure timely production and distribution of products to meet customer demand.
  • Work with/support Human Resources with staffing, including interviewing, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Maintain accurate inventory controls through SAP and cycle counts
  • Implement & maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all manufacturing and warehouse processes.
  • Enforce quality control and assurance programs, ensuring products meet company standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, cost reduction, and workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborate with managers to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
  • Ensure implementation and evolution of safety procedures and practices (QMS, GMP, 5S).
