This role is responsible for safety, production performance, team development, and continuous improvement across the operation. Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to use data to drive efficiency and cost reduction
- Experience training, coaching, and developing teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting demands
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other leaders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on continuous improvement experience
Nice To Haves
- Print manufacturing leadership experience
- Knowledge of offset printing processes
- Lean manufacturing education or certification
- Experience working in an ISO-certified environment
- ERP experience, including shop floor data collection
- Familiarity with network connectivity in a production environment
Responsibilities
- Drive a strong safety culture with a goal of zero safety incidents
- Improve machine throughput by reducing downtime, setup time, and inefficiencies
- Develop and maintain performance metrics across safety, production, maintenance, quality, and shipping
- Lead continuous improvement efforts across all areas of responsibility
- Ensure SOPs are followed, updated, and improved as needed
- Apply lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, and sustain improvements
- Coach and develop direct and indirect reports; support succession planning
- Plan and allocate labor resources to meet production goals
- Ensure preventive maintenance programs are established and followed
- Hold teams accountable for performance and results
- Promote a positive employee experience on the production floor
