About The Position

Manage all manufacturing and production functions, utilizing team leads and working alongside Operations Manager. Manage, with the Operations manager, Production and Shipping/Receiving employees, including but not limited to: Performance appraisals, discipline and training Scheduling production staff members to ensure proper coverage Setting productivity goals for the production team Manage purchasing to vendors and receipt of goods from vendors. Work with the management team to resolve manufacturing problems. Work with the management team to ensure product quality and timely delivery. Assist with process and capacity planning. Make recommendations for continuous improvement ideas to improve processes and structures for better performance. Collaborate with the Operations Manager in driving and managing Continuous Improvement initiatives across the organization. Resolving problems or delays in production Assist with the implementation of and maintaining of scheduling software and metrics as required/requested by the operations manager Fulfill our Quality System requirements as required. Team Oriented. (Works well with others and pitches in as necessary to get the job done.)

Requirements

  • Computer skills – ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Scheduling/Capacity planning programs (Aptitude in all software applications, relevant to the job, and familiarity with the use of relevant hardware, office machine, etc.).
  • 5 plus years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Aptitude in shop math and blueprint reading.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills. (Listens, clearly communicates, and provides both internal and external customer service).
  • Management skills. (Coaches, counsels, trains, develops, and motivates employees).
  • Negotiation skills. (Presents, listens, seeks common ground for a win-win, and is appropriately assertive when necessary).
  • Organization and planning skills. (Quickly finds answers to questions, minimizes mistakes, properly prioritizes tasks, and maintains a clean work area.)
