About The Position

This full-time, permanent Production Manager career opportunity is with a premier, rapidly expanding specialty food contract manufacturer. Known for its "speed to market" and heavy investment in state-of-the-art automation, this organization is currently in a high-growth phase, doubling its footprint to meet the demands of America's largest food brands. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant leadership experience in a food manufacturing or high-speed industrial operations environment

  • The ability to own KPIs, manage factory metrics/budgets, and facilitate complex projects in a deadline-driven setting
  • A stable work history as a seasoned Supervisor ready to move up or an established Manager wanting to join a rapidly scaling organization
  • A residence within 45 minutes of the Madison, WI area
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Operations is preferred or an equivalent high-volume food manufacturing leadership experience is required

Responsibilities

  • Manage all shift activities related to safety, quality, and output across multiple production lines to ensure a continuous manufacturing flow
  • Serve as a champion for food safety, actively participating in and preparing the team for SQF, USDA, FDA, and organic audits
  • Partner with the Plant Manager to develop weekly performance plans, closing gaps in production metrics through focused Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions
  • Take ownership of shift-level spending, ensuring alignment with budget ranges while identifying opportunities for cost reduction and equipment maintenance
  • Mentor and develop a team of Supervisors through "skip-level" meetings and coaching, driving a positive work environment focused on high engagement and retention
