Campers Inn RV is looking for a Production Manager. This role is responsible for leading the service department team . Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Valid Driver’s license and good driving record required
  • Education and/or experience in the RV industry commensurate is required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to plan and prepare work schedules for optimum coverage
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and tactful manner
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Ability to provide accurate and helpful information to customer
  • Ability to analyze and write reports
  • Ability to handle problems and facilitate successful outcomes
  • Willingness to accept additional tasks, duties and/or direction from management
  • Basic math skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product installation activities
  • Working knowledge of the activities, methods procedures and policies of a Service Department environment
  • Advanced knowledge of products, installation schedules, products prices and current sale items
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to use company system applications, including Motility Systems2K and other software as applicable
  • Ability to safely handle solvents and chemicals
  • Ability to navigate other risks associated with working around machines, tools, and RVs
  • Ability to move RVs of various sizes as needed
  • Ability to organize various physical tasks through adjusting, climbing ladders, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, or bending
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to reach above shoulders and lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Some supervisory experience is preferred
  • RVIA/RVDA certification or Master certification preferred
  • Forklift experience/certification preferred, or ability to be certified within one year is required

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily Service Department Technician activities
  • Supervises shop personnel providing support with technical installations
  • Train employees on new products and safety procedures. Mentors new technicians
  • Monitor and review work schedules, technician productivity and labor control reports
  • Track monthly departmental results
  • Assures productivity standards are met
  • Provides “cradle to grave” customer service
  • May answer phones and provide assistance to customers
  • Maintain a safe work area for customers and coworkers
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • May cross train to perform other duties
  • Perform in the role of shop expert
  • Ensure Quality Controls are in place and performs inspections to verify repairs are performed to company and factory standards.
  • Conduct shop meeting to cover safety, new policies, and manufacturer subjects
