About The Position

As a key member of the Operations team, the Production Manager will lead and manage a team of operators in the manufacturing and assembly of complex class III medical devices. The Production Manager will lead the implementation of local safety programs, demand quality as a non-negotiable, support a culture of continuous improvement with proven lean approaches, as well leadership over support functions as activities occur supporting production. About the Role: People Leadership: Heavy engagement, people first leader, prioritizing communication, execution and accountability in a positive and team-building way. Lead production staff by creating a safe work environment, collaborates across job functions managing processing issues, and driving production planning. Compliance with FDA, OSHA, EPA regulations, experience with the rigors of ISO 13845 requirements. Audit adherence to standard work, revising as necessary. Develop KPI's for areas of responsibility, provide coaching to direct reports to ensure understanding, and identify development opportunities. Set production schedules, support overall capacity plans, and maintain time and attendance guidelines. Inter-Departmental Coordination: Work collaboratively with other functions including EH&S, Manufacturing Engineering and Research and Development, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Human Resources. Operational Excellence: Lead implementation of corporate safety and health programs to establish and ensure a safe working environment, including accountability systems that improve compliance and safety results. Drive continuous improvement processes at shop-floor level using proven tools and methodologies and foster a culture that promotes continuous improvement of people and processes. Support facility capacity management process through active participation with site management team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably in medical device manufacturing or regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supervisors, coordinating cross-functional department activities and adapting plans and resources to meet production requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, data analysis and data driven problem solving, ability to delegate and adapt to changing priorities required.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, for interaction at all levels to achieve goals and objectives.

  • Be flexible and engage to meet the needs of our customers while delivering on quality and value.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, ERP systems (SAP).
