About The Position

At KARM Stores, our production teams turn donations into opportunity. The Production Manager leads the back-of-house operation to ensure donations are processed efficiently, accurately, and safely--sothe sales floor is stocked, customers are served well, and our mission is funded. Role Snapshot: Hands-on leader responsible for daily production execution. team coaching, and operational standards from donation intake through processing, pricing, and flow to the sales floor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3+ years of experience in retail, production, warehouse, or operations leadership (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to track metrics, follow processes, and ensure accuracy/quality.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in thrift/retail production, inventory flow, pricing, or warehouse processing.
  • Experience scheduling teams and managing daily production goals.
  • Familiarity with POS or basic computer systems (Google Workspace a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Set & communicate daily/weekly production goals and priorities to the team
  • Monitor progress in real time and adjust workflow & staffing to maintain pace.
  • Review store dashboards/production metrics & communicate expectations and results team members.
  • Ensure smooth flow from donation intake to processing, pricing, and sales floor readiness.
  • Coach, train, & provide regular feedback to team members; document performance as needed.
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, mission-driven work culture aligned to KARM values
  • Address performance issues promptly in partnership with store leadership/HR policy.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, cross-training, and scheduling to meet production needs.
  • Ensure required paperwork (production logs, labor tracking, daily reports) is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Build and manage team schedules based on donation volume, store needs, and staffing levels.
  • Maintain strong inventory control in processing areas; ensure appropriate sorting, accuracy, and staging.
  • Identify barriers to production flow and implement solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; reinforce safety expectations and proper equipment use.
