Requirements

  • Five years' experience working in a collision center including two years in a leadership role.
  • Knowledgeable in all facets of the productions operation.
  • Will successfully complete appropriate management training courses.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, develop and motivate all employees directly reporting to this position. Provide guidance to the next level of supervision regarding the management of personnel as appropriate.
  • Direct the Quality Control process and supervises the implementation of systems to assure the prevention of quality problems and ongoing quality appraisal.
  • Develop and communicate standard repair procedures, and quality and cost standards within the detail, paint and body departments, and monitors performance.
  • Develops and oversees the weekly and daily scheduling of work and assignment of work to technicians in the most productive manner.
  • Communicate due date goals to technicians daily, and coordinate information flow between the office and the production floor.
  • Break down repair orders by department and task assigns work to the appropriate technician.
  • Coordinate all supplements with the front office to ensure that the repair order is properly updated.
  • Coordinate the acquisition, storage and use of sheet metal and hard parts.
  • Administer preventative maintenance program for all equipment and tools, and makes recommendations to management regarding replacement or upgrade.
  • Keep up-to-date with new techniques and materials, and facilitate training for all appropriate personnel.
  • Track and monitor key metrics to monitor quality, productivity and costs.
  • Hold regular meetings with employees to hear their input regarding issues of concern to them, including quality, productivity and costs.
