About The Position

The Production Manager is a key member of the leadership team and will have primary responsibility for providing leadership and coordination of all disciplines supporting the manufacturing functions. The focus of the role is to lead operational excellence, support the business in achieving profitable revenue growth, and develop core manufacturing competencies. The Production Manager is responsible for all shop floor manufacturing operations and requires a “Hands-On” leader to interact in all manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will have significant manufacturing and operations experience in a high mix, low volume, made to order environment with demonstrated success in driving optimization across several manufacturing cells and departments. This individual will readily understand and translate business goals into strategic operational initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production management.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in production management software and tools.
Knowledge of quality control standards and health and safety regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Experience in budget management and cost control.
Ability to implement and monitor KPIs.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to train and develop production staff.
Experience in process improvement and lean manufacturing.
Knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes.
Ability to conduct regular inspections and audits.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to stay updated with industry trends and technologies.

Nice To Haves

Degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
Effective communicator (written and verbal) with all levels of employees.
Experienced in customer inquiries and interact with Sales and Engineering teams.
Current and experienced level: MRP, Excel, MS Office.
Six Sigma / Lean Certifications a plus
