About The Position

The Production Manager at ClearPath Medical oversees all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficient, high-quality production of medical devices in compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485). This role leads a team of production staff, optimizes workflows, manages resources, and drives continuous improvement to meet company objectives and customer demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, GMP, and quality management systems.
  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., QT9) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, ISO 13485).

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP)
  • Experience in medical device or regulated industries strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily manufacturing operations, ensuring timely production of medical devices while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate a team of production supervisors, technicians, and operators; foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO 13485) and company quality management systems; support audits and corrective actions.
  • Oversee inventory, equipment, and staffing levels to meet production schedules; coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as production output, downtime, and defect rates, and develop strategies to meet targets.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, and R&D teams to support new product introductions and process validations.
  • Enforce workplace safety protocols and ensure regular maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime.
