We are currently hiring for a Production Manager to lead our Dacula operations. Reporting to the Branch General Manager, this role will direct and coordinate daily activities of the distribution warehouse and production operation within the branch.

Requirements

  • 2 years minimum of warehouse supervisory experience
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a production warehouse environment, preferably experience doing CNC Machinist work and is familiar with cutting tools, such as saw machinery.
  • The ability to establish priorities and multi-task along with proficiency in measurements
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Forklift/pallet jack experience or certification

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling the workflow of materials and customer orders throughout the process to meet customer quality and delivery expectations
  • Coordinating daily with production and sales team to plan activities within the operation to meet required objectives
  • Ensuring all cut jobs have accurate cutting schedules and works to utilize remnant inventory and maximize yields
  • Training team on the proper way to use the cut optimizer program
  • Ensuring orders are processed in the proper sequence (based on due dates and method of shipment/pick-up) to meet customer requirements
  • Reviewing bills of lading for incoming material and sales order to plan work activities
  • Maintaining and directing the Piedmont Plastics quality and safety procedures and requirements for warehouse and fabrication operations at their location
  • Controlling costs in the warehouse and fabrication operations by minimizing waste and purchasing supplies from the most competitive suppliers
  • Holds regular staff meetings to review key operational metrics, achievement of company quality goals & objectives and other issues related to warehouse and fabrication operations
  • Other duties may be assigned
