Our Production Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper repair of all vehicles taken in by the Collision Center and controlling the flow of work.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing a Used Car Reconditioning (Recon) operation, automotive shop, fleet operation, or other high-volume production environment
  • Strong leadership experience overseeing teams, vendors, and cross-functional departments
  • Ability to manage the full recon lifecycle -- from vehicle check-in through mechanical and cosmetic reconditioning, detailing, photography, and frontline readiness
  • Process-driven mindset with the ability to build, streamline, and improve operational workflows
  • Experience managing multiple moving parts while maintaining quality, speed, and cost control
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to track and improve performance metrics such as cycle time, production output, and recon efficiency
  • Clear communicator who can collaborate effectively with sales, service, and management teams

  • Excellence: Provide an unparalleled level of product and technical knowledge and practical experience through the study of technical manuals and bulletins, classroom training, communication with factory service representatives and actual hands-on experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Reynolds and Reynolds, CCC estimating and imaging, understand and use MS Office Suite.
  • Leadership: Ensure service team is motivated and trained, set goals based on individual skill levels, and maintain a positive environment to promote employee morale.
  • Ability to demonstrate proper techniques for associated duties in accordance with generally accepted standards and company policy
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to process data and organize it for management analysis
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to interact well with others and be a positive influence on morale of department, dealership and organization
  • High school diploma or the equivalent and five year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of one year's experience working in the service drive.
  • Valid Driver's License

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent; and five to seven year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of one year's experience working in the service drive.
  • Bilingual a plus.
