About The Position

Responsible for the coordination and management of the manufacturing operations for the plant. Working closely with the plant team, the Production Manager will coordinate the manufacturing objectives as directed by the company’s Plant/Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, energy and professionalism. As well as trustworthy, respectful, and demonstrate sound work ethics.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written communication in the primary language.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule that may include some nights and weekends.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • 5+ years of previous experience in production management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) recommended
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the leadership and business results of a team of hourly employees and Team Leaders
  • Responsible for team development, including skill building, performance management, staffing strategy and developing a positive work culture
  • Ensures that essential business information and general expectations are clearly communicated and understood by all members of the team
  • Efficient utilization of production resources (materials, machines, employees, etc.)
  • Manage all plant activities to ensure production goals are met; ensure safety.
  • Work with Supervisors to plan and manage production tasks to improve processing time.
  • Review production plans to identify and report potential risks.
  • Plan and monitor material movement from start to finished product shipment.
  • Review inventory on hand to avoid shortages and excesses, including cycle counting.
  • Assist in processing customer orders and shipments according to the established schedule.
  • Review production work orders and accordingly establish priorities.
  • Monitor work orders and adjust schedules for timely delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on company objectives, production strategies and support activities.
  • Plan and monitor material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations.
  • Work with Planning/Scheduling to prepare job order documents and give timely approvals.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to complete work orders on-time and within customer specifications.
  • Communicate production updates to Plant Managers and customers on regular basis.
  • Maintain data and schedules with summary reports to support business objectives.
  • Lead and monitor quality assessments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Following instructions based on work instructions.
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by management.
