About The Position

Use knowledge of and experience with forging (processes, equipment and materials) and production management to oversee all aspects of their assigned process, ensuring safety, quality, optimal productivity, and efficiency; Collaborate with cross-functional teams, directly manage supervisors, indirectly manage operators, and contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations; Plan, organize, and oversee daily operations to meet production targets and customer requirements; Collaborate with other managers and supervisors to coordinate activities in and among departments; Develop production schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery of products; Continuously evaluate production processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality; Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain on-time delivery; Optimize equipment utilization, minimize downtime, and resolve any production-related issues promptly; Lead, coach, and mentor the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement; Implement and enforce strict quality control standards throughout the forging process to ensure adherence to specifications and standards; Investigate any quality issues or non-conformities, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions in conjunction with the Quality team; Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve efficiency; Analyze production data, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop action plans to enhance overall performance; Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to evaluate and implement new technologies, equipment upgrades, and process enhancements; Promote a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and promoting a safe working environment; Plan and manage manpower requirement for all shifts; Identify and correct problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills; Collaborate with other departmental managers to develop and execute budget; Hiring and termination recommendation for front-line employees; and Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations; Other Managerial administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering (or U.S. equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience evidencing demonstrable ability to perform the stated job duties.
  • Occasional night shift required based on production needs.
  • New hires subject to drug and background check.
