About The Position

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the assembly of all Cadwell devices, sub assemblies and final assemblies to meet customer delivery schedules. The Production Manager is also responsible for Continuous Improvements in Safety, Productivity, Flow, Quality and Manufacturing Agility in Production. This position performs and directs PCB and product testing and troubleshooting, and assists in training of Manufacturing Assemblers and Technicians. Products are Class I and II medical devices, therefore meeting quality and productivity standards is an essential requirement of the position. This position is located at company headquarters in Kennewick, WA.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in related field, or 2 years of related education/experience required
  • Possess thorough knowledge of all Cadwell product lines, parts and assemblies; with in depth technical knowledge of assembly processes and techniques of complex electronic assemblies required
  • Good understanding of Cadwell’s order processing and material control processes and systems
  • Lead teams, organize work and deliver results through others, hold team members accountable; report unresolved issues to Management
  • Competency in computer skills: MS Office and Google applications, query tools, spreadsheets, and database systems and electronic applications
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including receiving, understanding and following oral and written instructions, information, procedures and schematics
  • Interact with co-workers with a professional and solutions-oriented approach
  • Complete tasks as directed with minimal supervision, with precision and within required manufacturing schedules
  • Work both independently and as an effective member of the team, adapting to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities as needed
  • Critical success criteria include attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and follow through
  • General manufacturing positions may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written/verbal communication.

  • Work assigned shifts to cover department hours of 6:30am-5:00pm; overtime may be required to meet business needs

Responsibilities

  • Reviews daily production requirements and attendance, then directs manufacturing personnel to produce and test the scheduled products and sub-assemblies
  • Ensures materials flow to assembly is timely and efficient, and meets schedule requirements including establishing, maintaining, and improving TAKT times for all Testing processes and Manufactured assemblies
  • Ensures accuracy of materials inventories, investigates and corrects any discrepancies, and proposes and implements materials process improvements as necessary
  • Ensures that all manufacturing quality, transaction and training records are accurately produced and maintained
  • Ensures that sufficient department personnel are properly trained on specific assemblies and testing, and provides and assists in training as necessary
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to Operations Engineering and management
  • Ensures work area and equipment are maintained in a clean and orderly condition, and that safety regulations are followed
  • Performs prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required per P.M. charts
  • Perform other duties as assigned
