The Production Manager will oversee and manage a newly created weekend shift, supervise production employees and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards. Hours for this position are 5am-5pm, Friday-Sunday. Work 36 hours and get paid for 40.

Requirements

Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Computers and related software to complete reports and logs.
Associates degree OR equivalent education or experience.
3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Hires, onboards, trains, and manages production employees on the assigned shift.
Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluation and feedback.
Coordinates production schedules.
Develops training plans to meet safety, regulatory and production requirements.
Leads and participates on cross functional quality improvement teams.
Communicates standard operating procedures and plant rules to all production team members ensuring that they are implemented and strictly adhered to.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment for all plant employees and visitors.
Ensures all safety rules are followed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
