Production Manager Department: General Production Location: Spring Hill, TN The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the Primary Production Department (Measuring and Blending) and ensuring employees follow safety procedures and produce quality products

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a production department in a similar position
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Forklift operation training
  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills
  • Intermediate math, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to follow and enforce GMP and SOP guidelines
  • Ability to give detailed instructions for staff to perform daily tasks.
  • Ability to stand for extended hours
  • Ability to sit for extended hours
  • Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Other physical requirements include frequent squatting, bending, and twisting
  • Ability to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment
  • Must be able to wear any required PPE such as scrubs, hair net, lab coat, and facemask
  • Ability to work in a packaging area with a moderate powder substance in the air with or without a respirator
  • Ability to work around a variation of different smells and aromas
  • Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the production floor produces quality products safely and efficiently
  • Personnel Management – Staffing, discipline, performance reviews, time off approvals
  • Follow and enforce cGMP guidelines and processes as established in department SOPs
  • Ensure department goals and standards are met for quality, safety, and customer service
  • Provide accountability to the Production leads and staff
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure Production has all necessary ingredients
  • Prioritize daily operation in Production
  • Follow proper sanitation and safety guidelines
  • Report all necessary personnel information to the Human Resources department
  • Follow cGMP guidelines and processes as established in department SOPs
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
