Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing plant supervision.
  • A pattern of initiative and leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision making, and project management skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe working environment through the adherence of established Hormel safety polices.
  • Supervises and trains Team Leaders to assure the production of products/services meets daily production schedules.
  • Develops short-term and long-range production plan schedules to meet the needs of sales and assures the ordering of raw materials and/or supplies required for scheduling production in his/her assigned area.
  • Assures the production of products/services meets quality objectives.
  • Achieves labor efficiency and utilization objectives, standard yield objectives, safety objectives, production cost objectives, and sanitation/housekeeping objectives.
  • Assures HACCP and other food safety initiatives are implemented to Hormel & USDA expectations.
  • Implements and supports Hormel Production System, Lean Manufacturing principles, and maturity initiatives.
  • Provides vacation relief for Team Leaders and Operations Managers.
  • Performs project work as assigned by Operations Manager.
