Requirements

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant industry experience.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing plant supervision.
A pattern of initiative and leadership.
Strong problem-solving, decision making, and project management skills.
Highly developed interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Maintains a safe working environment through the adherence of established Hormel safety polices.
Supervises and trains Team Leaders to assure the production of products/services meets daily production schedules.
Develops short-term and long-range production plan schedules to meet the needs of sales and assures the ordering of raw materials and/or supplies required for scheduling production in his/her assigned area.
Assures the production of products/services meets quality objectives.
Achieves labor efficiency and utilization objectives, standard yield objectives, safety objectives, production cost objectives, and sanitation/housekeeping objectives.
Assures HACCP and other food safety initiatives are implemented to Hormel & USDA expectations.
Implements and supports Hormel Production System, Lean Manufacturing principles, and maturity initiatives.
Provides vacation relief for Team Leaders and Operations Managers.
Performs project work as assigned by Operations Manager.
