About The Position

The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a Production Manager in the C-C5ISR Division under our Spectrum Superiority line of business (LoB.) In this role, you will also directly lead and mentor a team of 20 Technicians, a Production Planner, a Manufacturing Engineer and a Production Test Engineer. You will also work with cross-functional teams to develop and build complex LRUs (Line Replaceable Units) and systems. Responsibilities: Lead daily production planning and execution to achieve operational efficiency, meet customer demand, and deliver on plant performance objectives. Utilize ERP systems to optimize scheduling, manage workflow, balance capacity, and minimize WIP inventory. Establish, track, and analyze key performance metrics; implement corrective actions to close performance gaps and improve service levels. Partner with Quality to resolve nonconformances, support corrective actions, and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures. Manage departmental budgets, control expenses, and develop capital requests with clear cost-benefit and ROI justification. Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA, ISO, and company safety standards, and maintaining a safe work environment for all employees and visitors. Improve manufacturing/assembly efficiency through the analysis and planning of workflows, space requirements and equipment layouts Participate in DfP (Design for Production) efforts. Participate in/Lead PRRs (Production Readiness Reviews) Support RFI, RFQ, and estimates request from BD and Program Leadership. Researching, designing, developing and supporting systems and processes that provide for the efficient and effective production of complex products or solutions. Evaluate cost factors and recommend methods for economic utilization of production facilities and personnel. Calculate production, labor and material costs to provide data for better decision-making. Collect, analyze and summarize information and trends in preparation of product and process reports Continuous evaluation of production processes Answer questions and field requests regarding production engineering Train and guide technicians in the design and development of projects Maintain product and process database Comply with government regulations Ensure equipment is maintained and repaired to minimize impact on operations Providing timely communications on significant issues Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards Participate in Engineering Review Board (ERB), Production Review Board (PRB) and Material Review Board (MRB)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably Manufacturing, Production, Mechanical, Electrical or RF Engineering)
  • Experience with CAD or CAM software
  • 10+ years of manufacturing/production leadership
  • Strong communication skills including speaking and writing
  • Understanding of Resource Loaded Scheduling
  • Familiarity with Material Resource Planning tools
