About The Position

The Production Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of all production departments to constantly improve the team’s performance in the Four Cornerstones of Quality, Safety, Productivity, & Housekeeping. S/He is also responsible for establishing & maintaining a World Class Team Member Experience (TMX) culture to minimize the company’s turnover & improve Team Member retention and growth. The primary focus of the Production Manager is to develop his/her production management team into high-performing leaders through proper planning, coaching, auditing, and managing within the Four Cornerstones.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead large groups of people and focus on developing a culture of accountability working as a team.
  • Strict adherence and compliance with quality assurance requirements.
  • Be safety minded and put Safety 1st.
  • Work closely with the EHS Manager to assure our Safety Program and our ISO Directives are being followed by all.
  • Reviewing production performance and identifying training opportunities of production personnel as necessary.
  • Direct teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are met.
  • Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and employee engagement.
  • Improve production processes to improve overall quality, reduce lead-times, and lower costs of operations.
  • Track and communicate to the Team Members and Senior Leadership the KPIs on a daily basis as it pertains to production.
  • Review the P&L statement and make operational changes leading to positive impacts on financials.
  • Engage daily with team members, communicating the prior day’s production and current day’s goals.
  • Coach and mentor all Team Leads.
  • Other duties as assigned.
