About The Position

The Production Manager is responsible for leading and improving manufacturing operations, leveraging extensive experience and knowledge of the field to enhance productivity and efficiency. This role is vital in meeting divisional, customer, and overall business goals and strategies, and works collaboratively with Warehouse/Logistics and Global Demand/Planning teams. Additionally, the Production Manager supports various functions such as Sales, Sales Administration, Finance, Engineering, and Quality across all Stäubli divisions, establishing standards and efficiencies tailored to each division's needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent industry specific work experience
  • 5+ years as a Supply Chain/Operations Manager
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel
  • Technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and software domains
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent listening, curiosity, understanding, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in manufacturing or plant settings, including procurement, planning, quality management, or production
  • Strong leadership abilities and hands-on approach to team management
  • Results-oriented with a focus on high quality and proactive customer service
  • Capability to develop programs and processes for business needs, both short and long-term
  • Self-motivated and able to define and manage own tasks
  • Highly structured with strong project execution skills

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an efficient manufacturing organization to ensure productivity and strategic growth
  • Lead and manage teams in planning, purchasing, and production to meet delivery requirements
  • Oversee supplier management processes including selection, quality, risk, performance, and cost evaluation
  • Drive continual improvements for operational excellence and manage manufacturing operations per standards
  • Execute Supply Chain initiatives aligned with divisional roadmaps and budget targets
  • Support regional production expansion and localization of key components
  • Define and analyze performance metrics for supply chain efficiency and align forecasts and schedules
  • Optimize product supply, customer satisfaction, and cost metrics for quality and timely delivery
  • Develop and retain cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and resolving manufacturing issues
  • Enhance employee effectiveness through recruitment, training, coaching, and strategic management
  • Adheres to all safety, quality and environmental standards
