About The Position

The Production Manager at TT Electronics is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the overall operation of a value stream, ensuring that daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations are met. This position is integral to implementing company initiatives aimed at fostering a safe working environment, maximizing profitable growth, driving quality improvements, and providing premier customer service. The Production Manager will also focus on developing a technically qualified workforce while reducing operating costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvement practices. In this role, the Production Manager will lead daily operations and continuous improvements within the value stream, which includes supply chain production control and establishing manufacturing priorities. The manager will create a foundation for continuous improvement and team member empowerment by ensuring adherence to standardized work processes, implementing countermeasures, and maintaining compliance with safety requirements. Collaboration with the Continuous Improvement Leader to implement Training Within Industry (TWI) across the value stream is also a key responsibility. The Production Manager will foster a positive team atmosphere by holding regular team meetings and meeting with direct reports to identify and proactively address problems. This role requires the ability to assess and develop both individual and team skills and capabilities, serving as a role model for promoting new ideas and positive change. Additionally, the manager will ensure that Value Stream Leaders provide effective cross-training for team members to maintain a smoothly running value stream. Monitoring costs analysis, product line margins, and manufacturing productivity will be essential, as well as working closely with other team members to develop and manage plans to achieve the desired future state of the value stream map.
