About The Position

The Production Manager at Knowles Corporation is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the manufacturing environment, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality output while adhering to production schedules. This role involves implementing lean manufacturing practices to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflow and productivity. The Production Manager will lead, coach, and mentor manufacturing staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability. Additionally, the position requires ensuring compliance with ISO standards and other regulations, maintaining accurate documentation, and adhering to quality control requirements. The Production Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and address production issues to maintain high product quality and operational efficiency. Safety standards and quality assurance practices must be enforced in line with regulatory guidelines, and the manager will work closely with the supply chain team to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Requirements

  • BS degree with 8 years of progressive experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience leading teams and managing multiple direct reports
  • Experienced in presenting to executive staff / leadership meetings
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Proven ability to drive results through leadership influence
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Good communication skills and teamwork mindset
  • Logical thinking and result-driven
  • Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Lean tools, techniques and applying in Operational Management
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Two years industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations, ensuring on-time delivery, high-quality output, and compliance with production schedules
  • Implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflow and productivity
  • Lead, coach, and mentor manufacturing staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with ISO standards and other regulations, including maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to quality control requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, and supply chain) to identify opportunities for improvement in processes, equipment, and production systems
  • Address and resolve production issues and technical challenges to maintain high product quality and operational efficiency
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure that quality assurance practices are followed in line with regulatory guidelines
  • Work closely with supply chain team to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize material shortages or overstock situations
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
