Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay UltraSource is currently seeking applicants for a Production Manager. This role will be responsible for overseeing and improving the efficiency of production operations. We're looking for an experienced candidate with thin film or semiconductor manufacturing experience, proven management and coaching skills, and the ability to bring people together to solve problems effectively. This is an on-site position. Hollis, NH is a small suburb in Southern New Hampshire, an hour north of Boston, MA and conveniently located near other major cities and access points in the New England area. Vishay UltraSource has 27,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space and approximately 80 employees working between two shifts.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education and/or certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a production/manufacturing environment is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong team building skills
  • Ability to coach and motivate employees
  • Thin film or semiconductor manufacturing experience
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with ERP and planning software and systems
  • Conflict management training

Responsibilities

  • Supporting, motivating, training, and developing the production team
  • Ensuring all safety and health standards are understood and followed to keep the team accident-free
  • Evaluating and reducing machine and staffing risks in order to meet monthly production output to satisfy on-time delivery goals
  • Setting, monitoring, & meeting productivity goals for each manufacturing cell
  • Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve productivity without compromising safety or quality
  • Working with the planning team to ensure adequate scheduling of production staff
  • Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
  • Other duties as needed
