About The Position

The Production Manager at RheoSense is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations of the organization, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality scientific instruments. This role involves managing day-to-day activities, coordinating production schedules, and implementing quality control measures. The Production Manager will also focus on continuous improvement projects to enhance production metrics and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a relevant discipline.
• 5-6 years of post-graduate industry experience in manufacturing, preferably of scientific instruments.
• Hands-on leadership experience in managing production teams.
• Excellent working knowledge of quality control and ISO standards.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in MEMS or microfabrication is a plus.
• Fluency in vendor management and selection for quality and cost.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all manufactured products and value-added services in the manufacturing facility.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct activities that result in finished goods.
• Manage production staff and work procedures to ensure efficient operations.
• Implement and maintain ISO standards and certification processes.
• Develop workflow policies and procedures to improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
• Monitor quality control systems and standards to detect production problems.
• Implement cost control programs and procedures to manage expenses effectively.
• Track operational output measures and correct trends that compromise financial targets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and educate personnel on compliance with policies.
