About The Position

Siemens Grand Prairie, Texas is looking for a Low Voltage Switchboard Production Manager - 2nd Shift for the facility. This person will ensure the production schedule by establishing priorities, assigning personnel to work areas, monitoring progress, making personnel and priority adjustments, resolving line constraint problems that arise during the production process and implement and follow corrective actions and systems that prevent reoccurrences of issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing or related field.
  • 4+ years’ experience in high paced production environment as a Production Manager.
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Excel and/or Access) and strong math skills/background.
  • Leadership experience leading a large team in production environment while problem-solving, and communicating daily with the teams.
  • Completion of relevant projects to improve safety, quality, delivery reliability and cost in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lean manufacturing techniques and proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Able to interpret or learn to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with production planning systems.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP or similar MRP system.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective use of personnel, material and equipment to achieve target profitability, coordinating with purchasing, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and schedule adherence.
  • Drive efforts to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including all production processes are strictly followed and manufacturing systems, such as SAP MRP System, Production MES, and Wiring Task Manager are utilized correctly to improve product quality, maintain data integrity, and increase productivity.
  • Analyze data from manufacturing systems and monitor and improve production processes by identifying and implementing necessary changes.
  • Identify digitalization opportunities to implement tools, such as Planning and Scheduling software, Digital Work Instructions, Operator Displays, Performance and Status Dashboards, and other connected tools.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
  • Improve safety for all personnel that work in and around the production lines.
  • Identify and coordinate continuous improvement projects, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement to increase safety, reduce cycle times, eliminate waste and increase throughput.
  • Maintain working relationship with local union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
