About The Position

Hormel Foods Corporation is offering a Production Management Intern position aimed at providing real-world experience in the successful manufacturing of food products. The intern will gain exposure to the job responsibilities of a full-time Team Leader and will be involved in reviewing production processes, assisting Team Leaders with performance optimization, documenting job descriptions, and supervising a staff of approximately 15-30 employees. The position is very hands-on, with interns spending about 80% of their shift in the production area.

Requirements

• Must graduate in August 2026, December 2026, or May 2027
• Major in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, Agribusiness, Management, Industrial Management, or related field
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
• Demonstrated leadership, persuasive, initiative, analytical, and communication skills
• Possess a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
• Applicants must not require sponsorship for an employment visa
• Position will require access to a personal motor vehicle to get to and from the workplace

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to the job responsibilities of a full-time Team Leader
• Review production processes against the current Process Specification Summary
• Assist Team Leaders with information gathering to optimize performance
• Document job descriptions for key positions, identifying major accountabilities
• Assist with the supervision of a staff of approximately 15-30 employees
