This position is responsible for the installation of new equipment as well as maintenance/repair of existing mechanical equipment used in the manufacture of medical devices. Will work closely with site employees and external vendors to ensure customer satisfaction and cost-effective solutions.

Requirements

  • High School graduation or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in production maintenance or relevant machine maintenance
  • Problem solving/analysis
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TPM preferred
  • PLC experience preferred
  • 3rd Class Boiler Operator license preferred or must be able to obtain within 1st year
  • Experience in a Federal Drug Administration (FDA) regulated industry preferred.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Model personal Lean Philosophy 5S behaviors in creating a continuously improving, clean, well-organized, and self-maintaining work environment. Work closely with team members and others to motivate and improve 5S knowledge and implementation
  • Actively participate in site TPM transformation efforts
  • Complete required documentation for repairs (work orders, equipment logbooks, etc.)
  • Comply with company ethics, code of conduct, policies, and best practices, with a commitment to safety in the workplace, valuing of diversity, and promotion of a harassment-free environment
  • Perform skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, and process control systems
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production-related mechanical components and electrical system in accordance with SOPs, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies
  • Assists with recommending and implementing equipment improvements to drive efficiency, capacity, and yield gains
  • Assists the maintenance team to develop methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and workflow
  • Assists the maintenance team troubleshoot complex problems with production departments, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers
  • Assist manufacturing engineers by driving improvements in equipment performance
  • Adopt and promote a high energy culture that stresses close communication and teamwork among all departments
  • Assist the maintenance team in providing subject matter expertise for evaluating existing/new equipment and best practices
  • Recommend revisions to standard operating procedures as needed
  • Assist employees with work process issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
