This position is responsible for the installation of new equipment as well as maintenance/repair of existing mechanical equipment used in the manufacture of medical devices. Will work closely with site employees and external vendors to ensure customer satisfaction and cost-effective solutions.

Requirements

High School graduation or equivalent required
1-2 years of experience in production maintenance or relevant machine maintenance
Problem solving/analysis
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent data collection and analysis skills
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

Experience with TPM preferred
PLC experience preferred
3rd Class Boiler Operator license preferred or must be able to obtain within 1st year
Experience in a Federal Drug Administration (FDA) regulated industry preferred.
Experience with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) preferred

Responsibilities

Model personal Lean Philosophy 5S behaviors in creating a continuously improving, clean, well-organized, and self-maintaining work environment. Work closely with team members and others to motivate and improve 5S knowledge and implementation
Actively participate in site TPM transformation efforts
Complete required documentation for repairs (work orders, equipment logbooks, etc.)
Comply with company ethics, code of conduct, policies, and best practices, with a commitment to safety in the workplace, valuing of diversity, and promotion of a harassment-free environment
Perform skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, and process control systems
Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production-related mechanical components and electrical system in accordance with SOPs, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies
Assists with recommending and implementing equipment improvements to drive efficiency, capacity, and yield gains
Assists the maintenance team to develop methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and workflow
Assists the maintenance team troubleshoot complex problems with production departments, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers
Assist manufacturing engineers by driving improvements in equipment performance
Adopt and promote a high energy culture that stresses close communication and teamwork among all departments
Assist the maintenance team in providing subject matter expertise for evaluating existing/new equipment and best practices
Recommend revisions to standard operating procedures as needed
Assist employees with work process issues
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
