About The Position

Responsible for diagnosing advanced mechanical problems on multiple types of production equipment and machinery while making necessary repairs.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of control systems.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent and relevant experience in advanced mechanical, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
  • Must be proficient with basic hand and power tools and specialty measuring devices including micrometers, calipers and gauges. Advanced automotive diagnostics and repairs experience or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, saws, etc. preferred.
  • Must be able to read and interpret detailed prints, equipment manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, reach overhead, twist, and bend at waist, climb ladders and stairs.
  • Must have availability and willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed
  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
  • This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. To meet the government-facility requirements, the candidate must be a US citizen.

  • Advanced automotive diagnostics and repairs experience or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, saws, etc. preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs advanced adjustments, diagnostic, preventative and emergency mechanical maintenance on automated high-speed ammunition manufacturing equipment.
  • Disassemble and reassemble machine for overhaul and/or repair.
  • Replace bearings, make proper lineups and install drive couplings.
  • Using on plant dispatch system to perform required maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance.
