About The Position

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Production Machinist for our client in the Design and Manufacturing domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately. Duration: 6+ Months Contract Location: Middlefield, CT Salary: $28.00-$32.00/Hourly Working Hours: 6am-12pm OR 7am-1pm Role: Production Machinist Primary Skills: Engineering

Requirements

The Production Machinist must have 5+ years of experience.
Must be able to work on a W2 basis (No C2C)

Nice To Haves

Experience with manual and NC lathes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual and NC milling machines, and grinders to fabricate precision components, tolerances to 0.005mm
Interpret technical drawings, and tooling sheets to ensure accurate machining
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T
Strong math skills and problem-solving skills
Conduct thorough inspections using precision measuring equipment, height gauges, micrometers, and calipers, to verify conformance to specifications
Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize equipment performance
Perform rework and modification of production parts including removal of broken screws, surface repairs, etc.
Great care in attention to detail and cosmetic quality is required
Ability to work independently without significant supervision.
Good work ethic and ability to concentrate and complete assignments within expected time
