The Sanmina facility in Austin, Texas provides precision machining and mechanical assembly services to customers. Precision machining capabilities include vertical milling, horizontal milling, and turning on a wide range of materials including aluminum, copper, composites, stainless titanium, and high alloy steel with a milling envelope of up to 60" x 50" x 40". The facility specializes in high-mix, low volume production and also offers sub-assembly, integration, New Product Introduction services, and clean room assembly.

Requirements

  • Working towards four year degree or certificate.
  • Some college coursework completed.
  • Basic understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident due to ITAR facility requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up, and maintain manual and computer numerical control (CNC) machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinding machines.
  • Perform quality checks on manufactured parts using tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure they meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and other technical documents to understand part specifications.
  • Handle materials and assist with the procurement and organization of tools and equipment.
  • Contribute to efforts to improve production efficiency, streamline processes, and identify and resolve manufacturing concerns.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and practice good housekeeping.
