About The Position

At District Photo, our employees are the heart of our company. We are seeking a Seasonal Production Machine Operator Day Shift in our Phoenix, Arizona factory Schedule- Mon through Friday 5am-5pm or Tuesday through Saturday 5am-5pm- Full time positions only We are currently looking for Production Operators to fulfill positions for our Yearbook Season! We are looking for Strong initiative, ability to be on-time, and flexible with your schedule, hard-working, dedicated, and ready to work! Job Overview Operate machinery as directed while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures to produce as superior product.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot problems with machinery
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills including the ability to build relationships at various levels.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self starter, and able to successfully execute initiatives with minimal guidance.
  • Reliable mode of transportation.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Extended hours during Yearbook season are necessary, must be flexible with your schedule.
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Execute active listening
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to commit to schedule for a period of two months -April to June 2026

Responsibilities

  • Operates machinery to cut, fold, glue, trim, bind and finish the final printed product.
  • Reads work orders and sets the machine in accordance with job specifications.
  • Review job requirements to understand scope and parameters of project.
  • Completes trial run and evaluates the quality and appearance of the product.
  • Adjusts machinery as needed prior to starting the project.
  • Inspects and ensures that the machines are in proper working order.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies needed to operate machine.
  • Prepares, aligns, and configures machinery, ink, rollers, paper, etc.
  • Performs routine maintenance on machines.
  • Informs supervisor of problems with equipment or materials.
  • Maintain a clean area around machinery
  • Ability to operate or to quickly learn to operate various machinery and related software.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Adheres to and enforces safety regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
