The Production Line Worker/Operator at Aerotek is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment while adhering to safety standards. This role involves monitoring equipment, performing maintenance, and supporting production processes in a fast-paced environment.   • Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
  • Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
  • Monitor conveyors and ensure they are operating normally, including adjusting the tracking on belts.
  • Clear small jams in water lines using water/air compressor and monitor water flow.
  • Perform preventative maintenance including lubricating and measuring wear.
  • Operate small equipment such as forklifts and skid steers as needed.
  • Provide technical support by monitoring production equipment and troubleshooting issues.
  • Conduct frequent inspections of the plant to detect malfunctions and report to the supervisor.
  • Perform daily scheduled preventative and emergency maintenance on production equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the grounds and perform building maintenance and housekeeping chores.
  • Effectively communicate over radio with teammates for traffic coordination and safety procedures.
  • Cross-train in other positions and assist other employees as needed.
  • Minimum of 1-year previous general labor experience in heavy manufacturing environments or warehouses, preferably in scrap metal or construction industries.
  • Ability to work standing or walking for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Ability to adapt to frequent changes of priority and complete job tasks safely and effectively without constant supervision.
  • Dependable attendance and consistency in work schedule.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme heat and outdoor conditions.
  • Ability to operate a forklift is a plus.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Candidates within 50 miles of location preferred.
