About The Position

SUMMARY: The Training Lead is responsible for developing and implementing production training programs, including but not limited to, technical training, employee development, management, leadership, and safety training. Coordinates activities of trainers at the MSL Plant. Other responsibilities include; ensuring daily reports are being completed accurately and timely. Plan and review the project work with the Production Manager; administer HACCP and GMP policies. Maintain high standards of excellence, attention to detail and the willingness/flexibility to work through peak work cycles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret in the English language. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers and Supervisors.
  • Ability to apply mathematical formulas to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must be able to make decisions on routine matters of policies.
  • Ability to define and solve practical problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables in handling situations.
  • Must work primarily in an advisory capacity.
  • Have informal contact daily with supervisor and department supervisors.
  • Changes involving programs, policies, and procedures require higher approval.
  • Good organizational and writing skills necessary to track and document production reports.
  • Lift 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Must be able to move to all areas of production efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to climb ladders or platforms.
  • Must be able to wear all safety and production related equipment.
  • Must be able to tolerate cold (45 degrees or colder) and wet conditions.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as necessary

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Director of Talent Development, develops, implements, and evaluates production and career training programs, manuals, curriculum, and courses including leadership and management training programs
  • Selects trainers.
  • Trains the trainers.
  • Plant administrator of talent development learning management system – “Alchemy/L2L”
  • Monitors trainers during classroom and on-the-floor training to evaluate performance.
  • Develops and conducts programs for the continuing development of trainers.
  • Identify and report operational and maintenance problems to prevent production delays.
  • Optimize production operations to meet quality and performance standards.
  • Ensure safety measures and procedures are followed to reduce unexpected incidents and hazards.
  • Ensure production process is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
