About The Position

This is an opportunity for a Pre-Employment Training Class which could lead to a job Pay is $17.00/hour Description of Company Fratco, a family-owned, but continuously growing company now in its fourth generation since 1923. We specialize in manufacturing drainage tile in polyethylene and polypropylene pipe. At Fratco, we are dedicated to both our customers and employees, always seeking new innovations to better serve our customers. The primary function of the Line Operator is to perform all tasks involved in the production of Fratco’s product including cutting, trimming, and packaging Fratco’s finished product and ensure it conforms to quality standards, following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Requirements

Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with employees and external customers
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Responsibilities

Perform related duties as assigned by Production Supervisor
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Perform repetitive line operations to mass-produce products
Inspect product to verify conformance to specifications
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
Maintain production records
Work at different workstations as production needs require
Work on lines where tasks vary as different models of the same product is produced
Promote team effort in helping each other. This will increase the performance levels of all in supplying a high standard of satisfactory service to the customer
Always promote safety first and assist in maintaining housekeeping requirements on the premises
Safeguard the confidentiality of FRATCO, especially products, operations, financial, customers, and personnel information
Maintain a positive cooperative working relationship with customers, community, and those persons superior or subordinate to this position, as well as peers
