About The Position

The Production Leader will ensure consistent application of methods, guidelines, and procedures to meet agreed KPIs. This role involves overseeing fine-scheduling and sequencing of production orders to optimize workflow and resource allocation, reviewing and approving production orders, and effectively allocating resources. The leader will also ensure the availability and readiness of all production infrastructure, including tools, maintenance, and setup operations. Key responsibilities include identifying and recommending procedural or organizational improvements to enhance Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance, as well as training, coaching, and supporting direct reports. The Production Leader will monitor production floor compliance with schedules and performance targets, coordinate efforts to reduce scrap and improve production efficiency, and lead the implementation and continuous improvement of 5S practices within the production area. Finally, the role requires tracking, analyzing, and reporting on production KPIs using SFM tools while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience, preferably within Schaeffler
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in production processes, including measurement & inspection procedures, production planning and control, budget management, and SAP
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams, including team leaders and direct reports.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills combined with strong business acumen
  • Broad manufacturing knowledge
  • Solid understanding of Safety and Health regulations and systems
  • Familiarity with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including strong conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship
