About The Position

The responsibilities of the Production Lead include but are not limited to: being a positive member of the leadership team at NTSAL, being an active participant with developing teammates within our culture, monitoring machine loading to ensure proper flow of product throughout the department, as well as overseeing and training teammates on the line. This position is also responsible for communicating information to other departments and teammates as it relates to production. The Production Lead is responsible for establishing and setting the production pace, maintaining efficiency, and ensuring quality on the line. Additional responsibilities will include filling in for other positions on the line, and for the Supervisor, as necessary. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

Competent with Microsoft Office software programs.
Minimum 6 months’ experience in steel manufacturing

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Tower fabrication processes and procedures.
Previous leadership experience.
