About The Position

The Production Lead coordinates work for department workers and assists department supervisor as needed.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assists supervisors in overseeing work area personnel and assists with managing production workflow, task delegations, and ensures production schedules are being monitored.
• Assists machine operators with machine operations and changeovers as well as training new employees.
• Assists supervisors inmunicating with support groups to ensure production lines have the necessary support toplete production schedules.
• Acts as a backup for various line positions including machine operators, supervisor, and other positions as needed. Carries out additional tasks as needed.
• Responsible for providing production employees with necessary supplies, equipment, and machine parts toplete daily tasks.
• Works collaboratively with maintenance for machine repair as needed.
• Checks work order accuracy and works with Machine Operators to report and correct all issues related to production documentation.
• Works with production line personnel to ensure JBSS quality procedures and programs are being followed and maintained. Assists with SQF, JST and new hire training.
• Responsible formunicating with other departments and delivering production status reports.
• Maintains assigned work areas audit ready and actively assists with audits and audit preparation as needed for both external and internal audits.
• Supports and reinforces JBSS safety, quality/food safety, and GMP programs.
