About The Position

The Manufacturing Support Lead plays a critical role in driving efficiency, quality and operational excellence in our factory. The Lead will be responsible for the management and performance of a subset of our direct labor employees and collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve our operation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3 years of applied experience in a manufacturing environment, working directly in materials or production areas.
  • Proven experience in leading production lines or shifts.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Capable of performing tasks on a computer, such as basic data entry and email.
  • Repetitive motion of hand, wrist, foot, and ankle.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, twisting, turning, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift and or move up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure team members arrive on time, are prompt in starting their work, and adhere to break schedules.
  • Assign team members to their designated workstations and ensure they understand their tasks and responsibilities.
  • Provide team members with the proper training, tools, and resources they need to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Ensure standard work procedures are followed consistently across the team.
  • Review and correct variances and discrepancies in reported times.
  • Collaborate with Production Supervisor to troubleshoot and address performance issues within work cells to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a resource for team members by answering questions and providing guidance.
  • Collaborate with quality inspectors to ensure products are being built according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot various operational issues, including nonconformances, material shortages, and equipment failures.
  • Take ownership of the team’s performance, productivity, and product quality.
  • Report on team performance, progress, and any challenges to the Production Supervisor.
  • Suggest and implement continuous improvement ideas to optimize operations and enhance team performance.
  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols are adhered to.
  • Lead by example, fostering a positive and productive work environment while earning the trust and respect of the team.
  • Assist in administrative duties including maintenance of files, records, and all required documentation.
