About The Position

JOB TITLE: Production Lead – Stamping Department LOCATION: Tennessee MUST HAVE (3) PRIOR YEARS EXPERIENDCE IN METAL STAMPING/TOOL & DIE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES • Assists supervisor(s) in coordinating activities of team members engaged in the stamping press department of the facility. • Assists supervisors in motivating team members to meet production standards and help solve work problems. • Set ups, adjusts and operates stamping press machines to produce parts in accordance with specifications. • Sets, aligns and secures dies, sets ram stroke, etc. to perform such operations as punching, shearing, blanking, and forming. • Responsible for setting up progressive stamping tools including the feeder. • This position is responsible for all training aspects for team members and new employees while ensuring processes are understood and followed. • This is a working Lead position that is responsible for delegation of work to meet production requirements and perform similar duties as those in the group. • May act as a Supervisor when the Supervisor is absent. • This job description reflects the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position. QUALIFICATIONS • High school level education or equivalent specialized training which may be obtained in vocational courses or on the job. • MUST HAVE (3) YEARS EXPERIENCE IN METAL STAMPING/TOOL & DIE! • Requires the use of judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems and transactions within the limits of a standard or acceptable practice. • Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees in the department as well as with employees outside the department. • Must be able to train others. • Ability to read and follow standard work instructions. • Familiar with measuring and testing equipment. • Ability to drive a forklift. PHYSCIAL DEMANDS Ability to lift up to 25lbs with or without accommodations. (4) 10-hour shifts Monday thru Thursday 4:40 pm till 3:10 am 40 hours per week
