Job Summary: The Production Lead is responsible for assisting with plant supervision in ongoing job/program management to ensure goals and requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner. Monday thru Thursday 5:45 am to 4:15 pm.

  • Issues work assignments as directed by Production Supervisor, or management.
  • Assists in areas of employee training, monitoring compliance with safety and other policies, and job setup as well as evaluating effective methods of production and implementing direction given by Management.
  • Assumes a leadership role for all programs/jobs under your direction to ensure safety, efficiency and product integrity.
  • Utilizes company computer systems to perform research, time approvals, and maintain communication and documentation.
  • Understands and enforces company policies and procedures governing safety standards and work rules for all employees.
  • Ensures work areas are clean, orderly, and maintained consistent with company Housekeeping policy.
  • Monitors work flow to ensure programs are completed on time and down-time is minimized.
  • Runs production jobs/programs as required per business necessity and to fill in when production staff is limited.
  • Identifies inefficiencies in areas of responsibility and works to eliminate using time management skills.
  • Responsible for some hazardous waste management functions. Performs physical waste activities such as labeling and ensuring waste is handled properly under their area of responsibility.
  • Performs other work related tasks as assigned.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States (ITAR restrictions).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to work at this facility.
  • Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for all employees of Tech Ord.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • At least 2 years of related assembly experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a lead or supervisory capacity is preferred.
  • Must have ability to lead in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn and become proficient in our internal computer systems and applications.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes and implementation of procedures.
  • Ability to communicate and document effectively in English.
  • Function Specific RCRA Training upon hire.
  • Ability to provide work direction to and work effectively with other employees as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and set and establish priorities in support of end-result/goal.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
