About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position pays $20.00/hr A Shift: Sunday: 12 AM - 6 AM, 6 PM - Monday: 6 AM Monday: 6 PM - Tuesday: 6 AM Tuesday: 6 PM - Wednesday: 6 AM Production Lead Functions □ To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture □ Receive training as required □ Perform various positions as required/assigned Description This position is responsible for monitoring production throughout the processing phase and providing training for all new and existing team members while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Tasks Applicants will be considered for any production lead opening. These openings require standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bending, stretching, reaching, working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high-pressure hose logs. Must be able to read and complete required logs. Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. May be required to operate frontend loader, manlift, or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so. This position requires documented work experience in multiple areas of a rendering facility. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview. Must have 6-Months Operator work experience with one employer in the last 24 months While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
